Relational, systems-informed therapy that looks beyond symptoms to the whole person
Sarah Liang (she/her) is a neurodiverse and LGBTQIA+ affirmative therapist and Emotionally-Focused Couples’ Therapist (EFCT). Her therapeutic approach is relational and systems-informed — meaning she looks beyond symptoms to understand how family history, culture, relationships, and life experiences shape the way clients think, feel, and connect. She integrates evidence and attachment-based practices while tailoring therapy to each client’s unique needs, pace, and goals.
In her work, Sarah often focuses on strengthening emotional awareness, communication, trust, and connection. Her goal is to create a collaborative, safe space for clients to explore what cycles or patterns they feel stuck in — and how to break them.
Sarah has had the pleasure of working with a diverse range of clients — including individuals and couples navigating anxiety, stress, trauma, life transitions, and relational growth. As an Asian American woman and daughter of immigrants, Sarah brings lived understanding of navigating multiple cultural worlds simultaneously. She approaches therapy through an intersectional lens, honoring the ways that identity, culture, and systemic context are always part of the picture.
Sarah holds a Master’s in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. She is pursuing dual MFT and PCC licensure and is supervised by Grazel Garcia, LMFT #97561.
